About this material

Stainless Steel 316 is an austenitic chromium-nickel steel with 2-3% molybdenum, which significantly improves resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments. It is one of the most widely specified stainless grades in the Philippines for marine, food-processing, pharmaceutical, and architectural applications.

The addition of molybdenum distinguishes 316 from the more common 304 grade, making it the preferred choice in coastal construction, seawater-exposed hardware, and hygienic processing equipment across the Philippine archipelago. It is fully recyclable and widely available through importers and service centers in Metro Manila, Cebu, and Davao.
